More about Kasey Reichard, LMFT

Taking the first step to search for a therapist can be challenging, so I acknowledge your courage for being here and exploring how I can assist you. By the end of this introduction, I hope you will have a better understanding of who I am and whether I would be a good fit for your therapeutic needs. My name is Kasey Reichard, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I understand that therapist titles can be confusing, so allow me to provide you with more information about what it means to be an LMFT. As an LMFT, I have obtained a Master's Degree and undergone additional training to work with individuals, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns and relationship issues. It is important to note that my work extends beyond solely working with married couples or families; I am experienced in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and with various life experiences, which is exactly what I love to do!

My approach is tailored to meet my clients unique needs and draws from various therapeutic modalities. I enjoy incorporating themes from Emotionally Focused Therapy, family systems theory, mindfulness-based techniques, and attachment theory, to guide my therapeutic work with clients. I firmly believe in the power of building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and open communication. Through this supportive and empowering environment, my goal is to help my clients navigate the challenges specific to their life. I also hope to foster resilience, and empower them to discover their own strengths and resources.

As a therapist, my best friend is my intention to remain curious, and help my clients become curious about their own life. In my personal life, I also work to remain curious and playful in my free time. I believe we are always learning, and exploration is my favorite way to do so. I enjoy traveling to new cities, experiencing new cultures, or navigating a new nature trail. I find that I am the best version of myself after I have been forced out of my comfort zone, and I have learned something new about myself and my environment. However, I am also aware of how scared I can feel stepping outside of that comfort zone and being vulnerable. I try to use that knowledge about myself, to remain empathetic about my clients’ experiences while in the therapy space. Being in therapy can feel similar to exploring a new city or trail without a map. I work hard to guide my clients through the therapeutic terrain with kindness and patience. I know that therapy can be a big moment of vulnerability, but I hope that with me, my clients know they are not doing it alone.

If you feel ready to embark on a journey of self-exploration and growth, I am here to provide a compassionate and supportive space for you. Together, we can work towards creating a life that aligns with your values, fosters resilience, and brings about a sense of fulfillment. Please feel free to fill out the form below to schedule a 15-minute phone consultation with me, and we can determine if we are a good fit for working together!
